The Electricity Power Electricity and US-based General Electric organized a workshop entitled Moving Forward to Power Up Myanmar in Yangon.
The opening session held at Park Royal Hotel on September 14 was attended by electricity minister Khin Maung Soe and General Electric's ASEAN CEO Stuart Dean.
The minister said that some 50 engineers from around the country are invited to attend the workshop as GE proposed the plan to organize the workshop.
He invited GE, the largest US company to have investments in Myanmar, to organize more workshops in Myanmar to build up capacity of Myanmar engineers.
Deputy Chief Mission of US Embassy Virginia E Murray elaborated on the workshop.
