Intermach Myanmar | Subcon Myanmar | Myanmar Water 2013

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Sept. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today the general international belief is that Myanmar presents an excellent opportunity for investment. Myanmar is ripe for development and is already experiencing solid growth with foreign investment. A key sector such as manufacturing could generate 6 million jobs and eventually account for a third of the economy.

The ongoing quest for low cost production has drawn manufacturers' attention to Myanmar. Also, one of the key initiatives emphasized through Myanmar's reform programs is the efficient supply of potable water and provision of sanitation services. The current total utilisation of Myanmar's water resources is only about 5% of the potential supply available in the country. Clearly, for now the demand surpasses supply.

However, as with all opportunities and investment, there are challenges; equipment suppliers and machinery are a current need. There will certainly be more demand for new machinery and industrial wastewater equipment. This is where INTERMACH Myanmar| SUBCON Myanmar | Myanmar Water 2013 come in. The three shows are being held from 24-26 October 2013 at Tatmadaw Exhibition Hall, Yangon.

Myanmar International Industrial Exhibition to Highlight Water and Environmental Protection

INTERMACH was first launched 30 years ago in Thailand. Today, it is one of the most important and longest industrial machinery and subcontracting exhibitions in Asia. INTERMACH MYANMAR 2013 and SUBCON MYANMAR 2013 hope to follow this spectacular success and their chances of doing so are excellent.

MYANMAR WATER 2013 is one of the series of exhibitions on water and wastewater technology and management being held in ASEAN. All shows are organised by UBM Asia - a world class Professional Global Exhibition Organiser owned by UBM and listed on the London Stock Exchange.

"Our first exhibition will showcase hundreds of leading machine tools, industrial parts, equipment and technology from 16 countries and regions including: Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Japan, Taiwan, United States, Indonesia, Austria, Italy, Germany, France, Hong Kong, Vietnam, United Kingdom and Myanmar. Some of these exhibitors are here to look for business partnerships with local distributors or companies during the inaugural event. Intermach Myanmar and Myanmar Water is been co-located to highlight the importance of protecting environment and water while developing industrialisation" said Mr. M. Gandhi, Managing Director (ASEAN Business), UBM Asia.

"By working together with UBM Asia to support and promote INTERMACH, SUBCON and Myanmar Water 2013, our 4,000 members and industrial associations are sure to benefit. We are helping to organise factory visits, seminars and business match-making to link exhibitors with local SMEs and distributors. I believe this first International Industrial Machinery, Subcontracting and Water Exhibition - the first ever held in the country - will be of great benefit to our members and especially Myanmar's manufacturing industry," said Mr. Zaw Min Win, Chairman, Myanmar Industries Association.

"We are excited to be a part of the very first Water Expo in Myanmar and are looking forward to setting a benchmark for Kubota Johkasou waste water systems in the country at Myanmar Water 2013," said Mr. Lwin Moe, Vice Chairman, Wa Minn Group of Companies.
