Imphal, Sept 5 (PTI) An Assam Rifles havildar allegedly
attempted to commit suicide by shooting himself from his
service rifle in Manipur, official sources said today.
Ram Bahadur (46) of 24th Assam Rifles, posted in
Tengnoupal area in Chandel district bordering Myanmar, pumped
three bullets in his stomach and was immediately taken to the
army hospital on September 2. His condition is stated to be
serious, they said.
