(Solar Sports Desk) - The Philippine Power Pinays won their second consecutive match with a win over Myanmar in straight sets 25-18, 25-22, 25-18, to enter the 9th to 12th classification round in the Asian Sr. Women's Volleyball Championship on Tuesday night in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
Honey Royse Tubino led Philippines' attack with 12 points, while Aiza Maizo and Joy Benito combined for 20.
The national team dropped their first three games of the tournament, but beat Sri Lanka on Monday in five sets 19-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-23, 15-11.
With back-to-back victories, the Power Pinays – who are currently ranked 13th – are assured of at least a 12th place finish, 9th at the highest in the biennial meet.
Tomorrow they will face Australia, who recently defeated Indonesia 23-25, 30-28, 25-14, 25-18. India and Indonesia, meanwhile, will tussle in the other bracket.
