France-based energy firm Schneider Electric opened Myanmar
representative office in Yangon, according a report by local newspaper
Yangon Times.
Yangon Technological University has reached an agreement with a French
energy firm Schneider Electric for establishment of a lab at the
university.
The French company will supply the lab materials to the university in
later December and earlier January.
The lab will be made available for second year students of the university.
The university has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Schneider
Electric for the establishment of the lab, Rector Dr Aye Myint said.
"We're in talks (with Schneider Electric) for opening of a lab," she said.
Pascal Mathou of Schneider Electric confirmed that the company would
work in cooperation with Yangon Technological University.
The university is working closely with international firms for
upgrading of teaching aids and its facilities.
