YANGON’S NEW CIRCULAR TRAINS ATTRACT TOURISTS

Myanma Railways' new circular train which was launched on November 1
attracted foreign tourists, according to local newspaper Pyi Myanmar.

The train is plying between the Yangon Railway Station and Hlawga
between 6.55 am and 10.45 pm.

"An average of 80 tourists take train in monsoon and 100 in open
season," Tun Aung Thin, general manager of Myanma Railways (Lower
Myanmar) said.

The newly launched circular trains are air-conditioned and spacious
than the currently running circular trains in Yangon.

The new circular trains were assembled by Myitge locomotive shed.

It will run nine route schedules a day between Insein and Yangon and
between Insein and Hlawga.

Smoking, betel-chewing and loading commodity is prohibited on the new
circular trains.
