Thailand Leads Table of Medal in ASEAN Games


Imagen de muestra15 de diciembre de 2013, 11:54Nayipyidaw, Dec 15 (Prensa Latina) Thailand leads the table of medals at the 28th Games of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) in this city, followed by Myanmar and Vietnam.

Thailand has won 35 gold medals, while Myanmar and Vietnam have a total 34, but Thailand has two silver medals more. Indonesia is in the fourth place with 32 gold medals.

The geat surprise was given by the delegation of Vietnam, which has given great performances in shooting and martial arts.

On Sunday, Vietnam won two gold medals in individual and team competitions in pistol at 10 meters, and in the martial art known as Pencak Silat they won three medals in the 75-, 80- and 85-kilogram divisions.

Another gold medal went to 53-year-old Dang Dinh Tien, in the billiards contest.
