YANGON TO HOST KOREA MUSIC FESTIVAL

Yangon will host Korea Music Festival where a number of famous K-Pop bands will feature in February, according to local newspaper Pyi Myanmar report.


The festival in the Southeast Asian country where Koreanization has significant influence will be held in Thuwanna Stadium in the commercial city.


The festival is aimed at boosting Korea-Myanmar friendship, according to an organizer of the festival Yoon.


He also added that the singers who will feature the event are hardly seen at one place even in Korea.


Film star Song-il Guk who is well known in Myanmar for his Korea TV series and pop bands Sister, After School, ZE: A, and U Kiss are expected to make appearance at the event.


A Myanmar band will also join the two-hour event, according to the report.


"We have planned to include a Myanmar singer or band in the KMF event," said the organizer.


The ticket fees for the event has yet to be revealed by organizers who plan a press conference soon.
