Myanmar has completed 80 percent of its quota for integration into
ASEAN Economic Community, the Irrawaddy reported, citing deputy
minister Dr San Lwin of the Ministry of National Planning and Economic
Development.
"Implementation has been completed by 80 percent," said the deputy
chief of one of the most crucial ministries in Myanmar.
The comment was made at 25th ASEAN Economic Integration High-level
Meeting at Sedona Hotel in Yangon on February 18.
Myanmar has ranked sixth among ASEAN member countries in completion of
preparations for the ASEAN Economic Community.
The ASEAN Economic Community is scheduled to comes to life by the end of 2015.
