After years of elaborate planning and production, the "Legends of Song and Dance" is finally ready to air. The series was shot in the ancient city of Pugam, home to the imperial palace and a once mighty empire. The city is rich with cultural heritage, especially its Buddhist relics and temples.
The story centres around the prince of Myanmar visiting China during the Tang dynasty, accompanied by a troupe of musical performers. It aims to bring to life the fascinating history of the period, and how the southern Silk Road promoted exchange between civilizations. This is the first joint TV series production between the two countries.
