Myanmar's labour, employment and social welfare ministry has launched full-time complaint mechanism for labour disputes in Nay Pyi Taw, the country's capital city.
The Nay Pyi Taw office was official launched on 27 June and has accepted complaints since 24 June.
Another complaint centre is proposed to be opened in Yankin labour capacity building training school in Yangon.
The centre will handle labour complaints and settle disputes through direct cooperation with the respective ministries.
It also has hot lines for inquiry regarding labour issues.
Myanmar has been striken by lieu of labour disputes in low-paid garment and other industries during the past two years as the country undergoes democratic transition and some businesses are still struggling to digest the concept of corporate social responsibility.
