The hunt for Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 lost mysteriously in the international air territory has extended to Myanmar, according to the Myanmar Times report.
Myanmar's Department of Civil Aviation has given the permission to conduct the search operations in southern part of the nation.
Win Swe Tun, deputy director-general of the department, said regional aviation control centre in Kuala Lumpur requested to extend the search to Myanmar waters near Kawthoung.
"In our aviation agreements we are to provide help and support if something like this happens so we already informed them that we allow them to do search operations," the official told The Myanmar Times.
Aircraft's from Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia and the United States are likely to conduct the operations soon, according to the report.
The plane has been missing for days and still has no concrete on what happened to the passenger plane.
