YANGON—The UK-based Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce (UMFCCI) signed an agreement on Sunday (March 16) to cooperate in Myanmar's financial and economic development tasks.
"We'll sign the Memorandum of Understanding with the ACCA's Singapore office," said an official from the UMFCCI.
The UMFCCI also plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Australia's chambers of commerce on Monday (March 17). Foreign business groups will also visit Myanmar to hold economic forums, the official added.
Founded in 1919, the UMFCCI is Myanmar's largest not-for-profit business federation, with more than 40 affiliate organizations. Its chairperson is Win Aung, who is also the chairperson of Thilawa Special Economic Zone Public Holdings Ltd.
