(Sports) Myanmar university football team to be formed for int'l sports tournaments

YANGON, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Myanmar University Football team with selected youth players will be formed to compete in international sports tournaments, sports circle said Saturday.

The qualifier for the northern Myanmar University Football Team (Men) was held in Mandalay, the second largest city of the country on Wednesday.

After the qualifier, two football teams from northern and southern parts of the country will hold more qualifier matches in order to form the Myanmar University Football Team.

The Myanmar University Football Team secured the second prize in the ASEAN Inter-University Sports Tournament last year.
