The Members of Parliament (Remuneration ) (Amendment) Bill 2014 was tabled for first reading today to increase monthly allowances of MPs to RM11,000 from RM6,580.59.
The Dewan Rakyat's speaker's salary is to be increased to RM20,000 from RM14,907.20 while the deputy speaker's salary will rise to RM16,000 from RM10,847.65.
