A New Zealander charged with insulting Buddhism has asked for forgiveness before appearing in court in Burma, also known as Myanmar.
Philip Blackwood was arrested after posting an online advertisement for the bar he runs, showing an image of a Buddha wearing headphones.
He has denied the charges, insisting he didn't mean to cause any offence.
"For me, I didn't mean any bad feeling with the post. So I hope people can understand and please forgive me for my mistake," Mr Blackwood said.
The 32-year-old faces up to two years in prison if convicted.
