SEA Games organizers said they have launched the official web site to
update information about the games four months away from the major
sports event to be held for the first time in Myanmar in decades.
According to state-run newspaper Myanma Alinn, organizing committee of
XXVII SEA Games has launched the official web site of Myanmar SEA
Games www.27seagames2013.com to keep international and local
supporters and journalists in sync.
The web site will offer real-time updates and information about the
games to be organized in three major cities Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and
Mandalay and Ngwehsaung beach in coming December.
Myanmar sports teams are bound for fellow ASEAN nations for joint
trainings and pre-SEA Games tournaments there as part of preparation
for the first-ever SEA Games to be played in Myanmar.
The Myanmar government said the construction of major venues for SEA
Games had been completed.
Recently, there was a clash among players and supporters of two clubs
in Myanmar National League last match, destroying seats of Wanna
Theiddhi stadium, a major SEA Games venue in Nay Pyi Taw.
The game between Yangon United FC and Nay Pyi Taw FC was suspended
after about 30 minutes of the playtime due to the clash.
