United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Aids on 9
September provided medicines and rations to internally displaced
persons in Kachin State who had fled their homes due to the longest
running civil war between Myanmar government troops and Kachin rebels.

The logistics group provided non-food items and stationery to IDPs in
Waing Kyaing camp in Laiza, Munlun, Laiza IDP boarding school,
Myitkyina-Jaeyan, Lwejel in Momauk Township, Pakahtaung, Ingaungpa and
Dunpon of Maijayan.

Humanitarian Affairs Officer of UNOCHA Mr Armin Daewerit and Field
Coordinator U Moe Aung provided aids with the convoy of four cars and
six trucks on 9-23 September.

The aids include medicines, foods, stationery and stationery.

"The convoy has been permitted access by the government.
They provide
aids to the camps after reporting the local authorities.
They provide
aids ourselves.
IDP families are happy as they get necessary aids,"
said writer Yin Nyein Pan who lives in Lwejel.
