Myanmar Computer Professionals Association, an organization under the Myanmar Computer Federation, will encourage IT-related start-ups in the Southeast Asian country, according to the association's general secretary Zaw Min Oo.

"We will help develop hardware, software, mobile and other technological businesses which are small-scaled and medium-scaled enterprises," the general secretary told to Pyi Myanmar.

He also said the association will work in coordination with related ministries for the development of the industry.

The MCPA is arranging a meeting with top officials of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in this month.

"Mainly we would make discussion on IT businesses," said the official.

He also said the association would make recommendations on the Telecommunications Bill being drafted by the ministry.

Within a certain number of years, Myanmar IT industry has become more active, according to the report.
