Myanmar U-23 football team captain to transfer to Malaysia's Perak FC

YANGON—Myanmar's Under-23 football team captain Kyaw Zeyar Win is moving to the Perak Football Club, a Malaysian super league team.

Perak Football Club and Kyaw Zeyar Win already have a personal agreement and they only need an agreement from the KBZ Football Club. The Malaysian football club has been trying to sign Kyaw Zeyar Win since the last Merdeka tournament, and he is also interested in joining the club.

Perak FC offered Kyaw Zeyar Win a one-year contract for US$ 5,000 (Ks. 4.83 million) per month.

Representatives from Perak FC arrived in Yangon yesterday to meet with representatives from KBZ FC to discuss the transfer of Kyaw Zeyar Win and sign a final contract.

"I have already met with representatives from Perak FC to discuss my transfer," said Kyaw Zeyar Win. "I want to transfer to [Perak FC] and I only need the approval from KBZ FC. I decided to transfer to another team to gain new experience. There may be more opportunities for other players after I transfer to a foreign football team."

Kyaw Zeyar Win still has two years left in his contract with KBZ FC and representatives from both football clubs are still undergoing negotiations for the final transfer.

Kyaw ZeyarWin played with Yangon United FC in 2009 and Ayeyawady FC in 2010. He transferred to KBZ FC in 2011. He is also the leader of Myanmar's U-23 football team, which will compete in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games.
