Researchers from Lerici Foundation of Italy will give lectures on
archaeology at Archaeological Technological Institute in Pyay, a
western Bago region town, according to the Yangon Times report.

The foundation's archaeologists will teach theories and demonstrate
the use of sophisticated tools in archaeological study, say the
report, citing the institute sources.

Win Kyaing, principle of Pyay Archaeological Technological Institute,
is quoted as saying by the Yangon Times, "Only a few did visit and
observe the institute.

They would bring tools they used in
archaeological studies in their countries and give practical
training."

According to the principle, they had agreements with the Ministry of
Culture for the lectures.

He also said the lectures would profit the students by keeping them in
touch with latest technologies for the archaeological studies.

UNESCO has also provided training at the school once in 2012 under an
agreement with the Ministry of Culture.
