The Japanese Foreign Minister has announced that it has issued
multiple-entry visas for Myanmar citizens to increase Myanmr visitors
to Japan, according to the Bangkok Post report.

The visa coming to effect on Wednesday will have three-year term for
15-day stay in Japan in each visit.

The new development was part of the most active development partner of
Myanmar to lure more visitors from Myanmar and promote bilateral
relations.

It marked the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two
nations as well.

Myanmar president Thein Sein met the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo
Abe in Tokyo in December, where the Japanese premier promised new
loans for development of special economic zone and for other
infrastructural development projects.

The two governments also inked a pact to increase the Japanese
investment in Myanmar.
