Environmental conservation management committees will be formed in every state and region, according to department of environmental conservation.

The government gave guidelines to form the committees and the process will be starting soon, Director General Nay Aye from department of environmental conservation said.

"The committees will be submitted the reports related with environmental conservation issues to the central committee. We will decide what to do after analysing them," said Nay Aye.

The committees' main and immediate task will be dealing with the environmental pollution stemming from factories and work places and they will trace the illegal smuggling of timbers as special cases, sources from department of environmental conservation say.

"The sub-committees will investigate and trace the smuggling of the timbers and cooperate with other departments," said the director general.

The government has to form those committees to do more environmental conservation work as Myanmar has many foreign investments came.

After the government has allowed mining business and processing plants in mining sector, environmental social organisations and international environmental consultation companies said that they will create bad effects on environment start from the end of the project following careful examination.

Moreover the deforestation in Myanmar is higher than every year and now the forest area only covers 19 percent of entire area. It is related with the government permission to cut down more than 5 million tons of timbers to private companies in three years time, sources say.
