Leading international schools has entered joint ventures with Myanmar
counterparts as they eye making entry to the Southeast Asian country,
according to a Financial Times report.
Harrow International Management Service and Dulwich College
International have partnered up with a private school in Myanmar,
according the report.
The British International School is also planning to open a school in
the once-hostile nation where the government universities provide
education to most students.
Ola Natvig, director of British Schools Foundation, said there would
be "a huge demand" in the new frontier market.
The British International School has planned to start their classes as
from August with 100-150 students, according to the report.
Yet, the private schools in Myanmar could mostly offer education to
elites as the enrollment fee is still high for the ordinary families.
