Construction works in Thilawa Special Economic Zone are expected to
start operation by the end of the monsoon in earlier October,
according to the state-run newspaper Myanma Alinn report.

Developers would start recruiting for the launch of their operations
in the Special Economic Zone, suggests the report.

The first phase would be started on 1000-acre land in Thanlyin near
Yangon as the open season starts.
The developers have expected to widen the project to nearly 6000 acres
in 2015 and it would generate job opportunities for local job seekers,
according to president of Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation
of Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The whole project would be established on 2400 hectares of land and
the construction works of the project financed by the Japanese firms
would start as the rainy season ends.

The developers are preparing to first hire a host of construction
workers for the project.
