The SEA Games men's football match between Myanmar U-23 and Thailand U-23 ended in a tie 1-1, keeping both teams in pole position to advance to the semifinals.
Myanmar took the lead in 33 minute with a header from Naing Lin Tun who replaced the injured star player Kyi Lin at 25 minute.
Myanmar could maintain the first half lead with superior performance, but had to allow the equalizer from Thailand as the second half whistle went.
Thailand returned to the game with better performance in the second half and influenced the hosts who occasionally challenged their opponents with dangerous counter attacks.
Myanmar skipper Kyaw Zeyar Win wasted two great chances for Myanmar in his attempts to add the winner.
As the match grows, Myanmar again controlled the game and saw an offside goal disallowed by the referee.
The referee had to book two Thai players for holding the ball to delay the game.
