BAGAN SEES RECORD HIGH TOURIST ENTRY ON NEW YEAR EVE

Bagan, the top major tourist attraction of Myanmar, saw the record high tourist entry during third week of this December, according to the Eleven Media Group report.


The overwhelming number of tourists flocking into the ancient city ahead of the New Year Eve caused frenzies to the tourism industry of the tourist spot, according to the report.


"These days, the record-breaking number of tourists are entering. There are problems with room unavailability," Than Naing Oo, a Tourism entrepreneur in NyaungU, said.


A few above 900 tourists a day is the typical number of tourists entering the ancient city on New Year Eve.
More than 1000 tourists are flocking into the city each day through Bagan-NyaungU International Airport. There are also tourists coming from various other routes.
