Yangon City Development Committee said it would allow more 16 water
throwing pandals this year as the municipal committee eyes more hustle
and bustle this traditional New Year in mid April, according to the
Voice report.
YCDC which allowed 41 water throwing pandals last year said there
would be 57 water throwing pandals this year.
According to an YCDC official, there will be 16 pandals along circular
road of Kandawgyi Lake which is the most crowded site in New Year.
The water throwing pandals offer performances by singers and famous
bands as well.
According to YCDC, there were more than 130 proposals for arranging
pandals in Yangon this year.
