Global rights report highlights regional abuses


The 667-page Human Rights Watch report gave special focus to countries like Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia.

It said while Myanmar made some human rights progress, it was undermined by state-sponsored discrimination against the Rohingya minority, and failing to adequately prevent or stop anti-Muslim violence in the country.
